Recently I noticed a clicking sound from the engine of my G6 gxp. I went to a mechanic and he tried to say it was my motor but after not being able to find another motor he said he wanted to further inspect it. Sounds like he's fishing for a big pay day. Any idea what would cause a clicking sound from the engine at low speeds?

Re: Clicking sound from motor area
interesting. . i have the same noise albeit a bit slower... im starting to think its my throttle body plate but honestly it's hard to locate whrre the noise is coming from.. have you cleaned your throttle body recently? might be a good idea plus even if it isnt the problem couldnt hurt . Goodluck please keep us informed.

Re: Clicking sound from motor area
I've been going around to several shops and they can't locate the noise and ask if it affects the performance. They think it might be something inside the engine but the cars performance hasn't been affected. They say just keep driving unless it gets louder or affects the car. I might have to go to a dealership for their opinion.
