Okay so Is it possible to add a factory xm module to a radio that has the band button? The car already has the xm antenna

    Re: Xm radio

If you hit the band button and it shows XM then you should be good. If it does show XM then you just have to go to channel 1 I believe to get the radio ID. The XM people will need that when you call to get the radio signal sent.

Yeah I knew that, I have a g6 and I have that in mine but this is on my girlfriends g6 and it has the band button but didn't come with xm so I was wondering if I could get a xm receiver from a junked g6 and put it in wherever either the cable and connect the factory xm antenna already on the car, to the receiver and have it work like mine does
